Website Review: Hunch

Hunch home page

Hunch is another website I came across recently. After being accepted into the beta a while back I totally forgot about it. What hunch is, is a website that helps make decisions for you on different things. As you take more and more surveys it learns what you like/dislike and what you are like. This helps in its future decisions for you. Its fun to play around with, but I don’t really see myself going to a website to make choices on what type of art I should like or what instrument I should play. But if you want to try it out just click on the picture and sign yourself up.

I have been caught in the  new craze called Twitter as you can see by the tweet watcher in the sidebar. At first it was a little boring and I didn’t see the point, but  then it became a good place to vent and see what others were doing when I was bored. I then heard of this application called TweetDeck, TweetDeck is an adobe air app that allows you to arrange your different friends, DMs (direct messages) and @s (mentions) in different columns to help sort it out and display it all at once. This was all fine and dandy, but then they came out with the iphone/ipod app version of their application which I promptly downloaded. Wit h this new iteration of TweetDeck come a lot of the same great features of the desktop version including the columns which make it stand out among other twitter apps for the iphone/ipod.

App review: Leaf Trombone

I know this app has been out for a while but I just got it and I am amazed. It’s fun and easy to play and the user made songs are a nice way to get started. The whole getting judged part is a little scary but you don’t have to play in front of people if you don’t want to. The judging part is fun but prepare to be flamed if you even so much as miss a note. All in all for 99 cents you can’t go wrong.

App review: Castle of Magic

I found a new app on the iPhone/iPod AppStore. Castle of Magic. Castle of magic is a platformer that reminds me a little bit of sonic. The whole point of the game is to get from one end of the level collecting jewels (rings) and other treasures. Being a wizard your main defense is a short range spell that turns your enemies into blocks whick you can use to your advantage, but there are six power ups that turn you into different things like a super wizard and an archer just to name some. At $4.99 it’s not a bad price and is definatly worth checking out.

ARhrrrr A cool augmented reality shooter

Hey everybody just saw this on a tech website and I’m amazed. The nvidia tegra  really kicks butt. If they can make games like this for the zune HD it might make me want to buy one.
